Using Solar Rock Lights in Your Garden Lighting Scheme

And if it so happens that you have a disdain for things that look mechanical as well, the standard solar lights won’t do for you either.

For a person with simple tastes solar rock lights are ideal for garden lighting

Luckily enough solar light makers have always had persons like you in mind. They are producing simulation rocks into which a solar panel and a LED lamp are embedded. Most of them are equipped with a light intensity detector which makes their lamps turn themselves on when it gets dark enough in the late afternoons. They also go off when it is light. The rocks are sometimes made of durable polyethylene plastic. The more authentic-looking ones are made of polyresin. From where they stand on the ground it is practically impossible to distinguish them from real rocks of the same color if it were not for the solar panel and the light bulb that they house.

Due to the advances made in solar technology, solar rock lights can emit bright lights. The brightest ones may be used as spotlights. If you have enough LED units in it, it can provide enough brightness to see details in your garden.

They make ideal foot lights and path lights

Solar rock lights light up the area on the ground to which they are facing. They are therefore ideal for using as path lights. On your garden steps and alongside the garden path, you might want to place solar rock lights alternately on the left and on the right side every two strides or so. In that way, your guests won’t be wary about going around your garden, afraid to stumble and spill their drinks, during evening parties.

They may also be used as accent lights for dark areas of the lawn. However, for this purpose you may have to tilt them up with some support so that the lamp is in a position to illuminate shrubs and greenery.
